Two home-based small businesses

The two farm-based businesses were set up in 2003, as part of our lifestyle change from the UK.

The first business is a small,registered ‘home from home’ kennels and cattery. The business runs 12 months of the year and has a loyal base of both English and French clients,developed over the past 8 years.

The second business is the growing of soft fruit (mainly raspberries and blackcurrants)for the local summer markets,direct sales and PYO. The fruit business is registered as a farm,to take advantage of the generous tax allowance the French Government give to small farmers in France,the season lasting approx. 3 months.

There is also a 4 bedroomed, 3 bathroomed traditional farmhouse,fully renovated, to go with the property. There are two large barns of 1,150 sq m. total surface area,that have potential for the further expansion of the kennels business,or the development of other rural enterprises.

The property, although rural, is 10 mins from a small market town with all amenities. Bergerac and it’s international airport are 30 mins drive away.
